Dr Leon Gouws was elected chairman of the SAOC Board of Directors for another term, during its meeting on the 17th May 2006. Dr Gouws will be assisted by a deputy in Dr Coenraad Slabber who was elected in the newly created position of vice-chairman of the Board.
